This cartoon is timeless and is just as true today as it was in 1948! How quickly people give up their freedoms for the illusion of security, and the false hope of prosperity through central control.

This cartoon makes the point to beware of any individual, organization, or administration that attempts to escalate class, or race warfare to divide the country. Divide and conquer is the method used throughout history to subjugate populations, and is a favorite of socialists in particular.

We will always have our differences, but surrendering our personal freedoms, and putting the government in charge of everything, is not the solution.
